Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations with a variety of food items, ensuring all offerings are fresh, appealing, and well-stocked throughout service hours
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing fruits, assembling breakfast items, and maintaining food presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper waste disposal in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, warming trays, and other small appliances
- Greet guests warmly in person, answer their questions about menu items or dietary options, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their breakfast experience
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and adhering to food safety management practices
- Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast station or serving area using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments preferred; fine dining or restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper cleaning techniques required to maintain hygiene standards
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace and processing cash transactions with basic math skills
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment like coffee makers, toasters, or warming trays is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude that fosters positive guest interactions in person
- Experience with catering or banquet service is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts as needed in a fast-paced environment
