Role And Responsibilities This inpatient nurse practitioner role involves providing hospitalist coverage at a 45-bed facility, primarily in a geriatric patient population.
The clinician will conduct patient rounds (10-12 patients per shift), manage approximately 10 daily admissions, and handle around 2 consults daily during day shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
No procedures or ICU rounding are required. The position requires active Florida licensure, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority.
The schedule typically follows a week-on, week-off pattern, with shifts of 3-5 days.
Qualifications And Skills
- Active Florida license and DEA
- Prescriptive authority
- Geriatric inpatient experience preferred
- Board certification is negotiable
- Ability to manage low to medium acuity cases in a non-trauma setting
