Home Inspector - Pest Control

About This Role

This position combines home inspections, customer education, and sales, offering a base salary plus commissions. The role suits a motivated, customer-focused individual who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and helping homeowners protect their homes through effective pest management solutions. As a Home Inspector, you will become a trusted advisor by identifying pest activity and potential risks, explaining findings, and recommending practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections to identify pest activity, entry points, moisture issues, and conditions that may contribute to pest problems, including attics, crawl spaces, basements, garages, and foundations
• Explain inspection findings, potential risks, and recommended solutions in a clear, professional, and customer-friendly manner
• Develop customized pest management recommendations and prepare proposals that communicate the value of Green Pest Solutions' services
• Present proposals, answer questions, address customer concerns, follow up with prospects, and close new residential accounts
• Develop long-term customer relationships, identify opportunities for additional services, and provide honest recommendations that meet homeowners' needs
• Partner with Operations and Customer Support to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service and follow through on customer commitments
• Meet established sales and performance goals, manage appointments and follow-ups, maintain accurate customer records in Customer Relationship Management software and other systems, and complete required documentation

Requirements

• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify customer needs, explain recommendations, and confidently ask for the sale
• Strong organization, time management, and follow through
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely access residential inspection areas, including attics and crawl spaces
• Valid driver
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required Kansas and Missouri pest management licenses
• High school diploma or GED
