Position Overview
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will provide skilled education, treatment, and interventions under the direction of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, communicate regularly with patients and caregivers, and ensure safe and effective therapy services to improve or restore function, relieve pain, and promote recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and device use.
- Monitor and report patient condition changes to supervisors or physicians.
- Collaborate on patient care plans and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and compliance with professional standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Professionalism, strong communication, and teamwork skills.
