As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will deliver skilled education, treatment, and interventions under the direction of a physical therapist and physician, focusing on patient safety and functional improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct physical therapy services in accordance with the plan of care
- Communicating with patients and caregivers about treatment plans
- Administering treatments, procedures, and assistive device education
- Monitoring and reporting patient progress and condition changes
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members on patient care
- Planning discharge and ensuring smooth transition post-treatment
- Participating in ongoing training and maintaining professional standards
- Ensuring confidentiality and accurate documentation of patient information
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current, unrestricted state license
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong communication, clinical, and collaborative skills
