About the role
Role Overview: The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant provides personalized in-home physical therapy to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will implement treatment plans, perform therapeutic exercises, and use modalities such as massage, traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments as developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Document patient progress and submit clinical records timely.
- Attend educational meetings and coordinate department activities.
- Report equipment issues, supply shortages, or patient/staff changes.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions during patient care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working with healthcare teams and understanding geriatric patient needs.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Preferred: At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Additional Info: The role involves patient-facing activities requiring TB screening and adherence to driver safety policies. Compensation ranges from $64,000 to $87,500 annually, with benefits supporting overall well-being.
