Are you a motivated individual with a commitment to safety and customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environments? Red Deer Home Centre presents the ideal opportunity for you! We’re currently looking for a Home Centre Driver to join our dynamic team.
Position: Home Centre Driver
Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Support customers in the yard
- Maintain product knowledge and offer advice to customers upon request
- Carry out regular preventative maintenance program and schedule repairs as needed
- Deliver customer products promptly and professionally
- Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
- Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Highly self-motivated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is a requirement
- Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
- Experience running a forklift is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
- Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
