About This Role
This full-time, long-term opportunity is for a History Teacher at a well-established secondary school. The role involves teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning engaging lessons, and fostering a positive learning environment to help students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Develop students' analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes
- Contribute to the wider Humanities department
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
