About This Role
This role is for a Hindi Language interpreter, focusing on providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretations between Hindi and English. The position requires native fluency in both languages and the ability to maintain neutrality and objectivity during conversations.
Responsibilities
- Render correct concepts and meanings between Hindi and English, following complexity, clarity, tone, and style, upholding correct grammar and syntax in both languages
- Provide strict renditions of messages, including every detail of the conversation, and be prepared for challenging calls at any time
- Employ good customer service and communication skills, clear enunciation, pronunciation, a pleasant and professional voice, and polite forms of expression
- Follow instructions for clients, manage the flow of the call, and avoid taking over the call or interacting with the limited English speaker without the client's permission
- Remain calm during calls in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations
- Remain punctual and available during scheduled work hours
- Ensure access to the internet for work-related electronic communication
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Native fluency in English and Hindi
- Certification Required: B2/HSK4
- Advanced skills in the cultural dynamics (cultural implication and idiomatic expression) of language
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client

- Schedule: Rotational shifts (including night)
