High School Group Instructor

About This Role

Teaching high school students in a small-group, in-person setting at Waseda Academy is the core of this instructor role. This position is ideal for individuals with teaching experience who are looking for a flexible work arrangement, including those seeking a second job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct small-group, in-person lessons for high school students at Waseda Academy
• Teach subjects in the English department

Requirements

• Experience in group instruction at another cram school (experience length not specified)
• Experience in junior high or high school entrance exam preparation is also acceptable
• Must be a 4-year university student or graduate
• Graduate students are welcome
• Experience at a preparatory school is welcome
• W-work/side jobs are acceptable

Important Details

• Schedule: At least 1 day per week, at least 1.5 hours per day
• High school 2nd-3rd grade classes are 120 minutes: 16:45–18:45, 19:15–21:15
• Junior high school and high school 1st grade classes are 90 minutes: 17:15–18:45, 19:15–20:45
• Negotiable for 1 day a week, 1 class or more
• Days and number of classes will be decided upon consultation
• Multiple school locations are possible
• Employment period: Long-term employment is welcome
• Commencement date is negotiable
• Team: University students are active in this role
