About the role
The Martinsburg Initiative is a police, school, community, health, and education partnership with the mission to prevent substance use, build strong families, and empower the community. TMI serves communities experiencing concentrated poverty as well as rural and underserved populations throughout Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle.
Member Duties : Support marketing and media campaign for youth regarding prescription drug misuse and overdose awareness. Facilitate monthly youth advisory meetings to gather input for marketing and media campaign. Serve as a liaison to youth coalitions in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties to promote the campaign, and facilitate youth coalition meetings with an emphasis on prescription drug misuse and overdose awareness Support outreach events associated with substance use prevention
