About This Role
This role is for an experienced HVAC/Air Conditioning Technician to join a growing team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and light commercial air conditioning systems. It suits a candidate with strong technical skills and enthusiasm for property maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
- Install and replace air conditioning equipment and components
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues
- Communicate professionally with customers and property management staff
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes
Requirements
- Strong construction background with experience in mechanical installation and property maintenance
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems or refrigeration units
- Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs
- Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components
- Field service expertise including appliance repair, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R industry standards
- Experience with welding techniques necessary for system fabrication or repair work
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers and other heating equipment essential for comprehensive system servicing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and lift HVAC equipment when necessary
