About This Role

This role is for an experienced HVAC installer or service technician to join a growing team. The position involves installing new HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings and ensuring they meet safety and manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and related equipment in residential and commercial settings
• Connect and test electrical components, refrigerant lines, ductwork, and thermostats
• Perform system startups and commissioning, verifying operation meets manufacturer and safety standards
• Identify and correct installation issues before, during, and after completion
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and customers regarding installation progress and system operation
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle at all times
• Collaborate with dispatchers, service technicians, and office staff to ensure seamless job completion
• Adhere to all local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Represent Koz Heating & Cooling with professionalism and integrity on every job

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC installation experience
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems (furnaces, central AC, heat pumps, ductwork)
• Solid understanding of electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical systems
• Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces, attics, and crawlspaces
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
