Heating Air Conditioning Technician

About This Role

This on-site role in Corsicana, TX, supports facility comfort and production environments at the manufacturing plant. The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, refrigeration units, and related controls to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to respond to service requests
• Monitor building systems
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and safety checks
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in facility operations

Requirements

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
• Practical plumbing skills for piping, condensate lines, and related support systems
• Experience with preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and equipment tune-ups
• Knowledge of electricity, including motors, controls, wiring, and safe work practices around electrical systems
• EPA certification (e.g., Section 608) for handling refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations
• Prior experience as an HVAC technician in industrial or commercial settings
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

• Vocational or technical training in HVAC or building maintenance
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability to lift and move equipment as required
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and documenting maintenance
