Healthy Community Outreach Director

About This Role

Directing community outreach efforts to reduce health disparities is the main purpose of this role, by overseeing the Breast Care Awareness program and providing education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement programs that promote public health and social well-being, and suits a dynamic leader with a strong background in program development, volunteer management, and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee community outreach programs focused on education and health promotion
• Recruit and train volunteers and staff involved in outreach activities
• Build strong partnerships with community leaders
• Lead public speaking engagements to raise awareness about Breast Cancer awareness issues and available resources

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field of study
• Direct experience and understanding of early detection breast screening guidelines
• Proven success with fully implementing new programs and outcome measures
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as necessary

Nice to have:

• Proven evidence with securing grant funding
• Experience with facilitating Support Groups
• Strong background in public speaking, program development, and project management
• Knowledge of community outreach strategies
• Demonstrated skills in marketing, social media management, data collection, and administrative tasks
• Experience in recruiting volunteers or staff for community programs
• Leadership experience with the ability to inspire teams and foster collaborative environments
