  • Evaluate candidates' knowledge of patient care in home settings, ensuring they have the required clinical and/or non-clinical skills and understanding of the home care environment
  • Partner with hiring managers, home health agency leadership, and clinical teams to understand staffing needs and job requirements
  • Advise managers on trends and challenges in the recruitment process, helping them to refine job descriptions and hiring strategies
  • Ensure that all recruited candidates meet the agency’s quality standards and comply with healthcare industry regulations
  • Ensure all recruits meet state and federal licensing requirements and any specific certifications needed to work in home health care (e.g., CPR, first aid, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, including candidate evaluations, interviews, and offers made
  • Facilitate onboarding, including the background screening process, including criminal history and references, completion of necessary paperwork, license verification in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations
  • Oversee and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they complete necessary documentation and orientation
  • Facilitate the introduction of new hires to the organization’s policies, procedures, and patient care standards
  • Provide new hires with the resources and training they need to succeed in a non-medical home care and/or home health care setting
