Assurgent Medical Staffing is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter to join our growing team.

This is a fast-paced, high-energy recruiting position focused on placing physicians and advanced practice providers in temporary locum tenens assignments nationwide. Responsibilities

• Source and recruit physicians and advanced practice providers for locum tenens assignments nationwide
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and online sourcing strategies
• Conduct candidate outreach, screening interviews, and credentialing coordination
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers and clients
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through assignment placement
• Coordinate interviews, availability, travel discussions, and assignment logistics
• Negotiate compensation packages and assignment details with providers
• Maintain accurate activity tracking within ATS and CRM systems
• Meet and exceed recruiting and revenue performance goals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or business development
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, candidate sourcing, and ATS/CRM systems preferred
• Ability to confidently make outbound calls and build new relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare staffing or locum tenens recruiting experience
• Experience working in a commission-based environment
• Knowledge of physician specialties and healthcare staffing trends
