Healthcare Assistant

About This Role

This role involves providing essential support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times
• Help prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with other staff members to implement individual care plans tailored to each client
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the living environment for clients
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to drive and travel between client locations as required
• A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
• 2 years of care experience (required)
• Driving Licence (required)

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in home care or a similar role
• Familiarity with creating and following care plans
• 1 year of home care experience
