Role & responsibilities
A large Indian metals producer is setting up a carbon steel line at its integrated plant in Odisha and is looking for a leader to own the Steel Melting Shop end to end from commissioning and ramp-up through to stable, cost-competitive production.
Preferred candidate profile

Own SMS operations converter/BOF, secondary refining, continuous casting

Drive commissioning and ramp-up to rated capacity on schedule

Deliver on tap-to-tap time, yield, refractory life, energy and conversion cost

Manage hot metal variability and grade consistency across shifts

Build and lead the shop team; work with OEM and project partners through stabilisation

Own safety, statutory compliance and shop-floor discipline

BE/B.Tech (Metallurgy preferred)

Long-run career in integrated steel plant operations, with SMS ownership at senior level

BOF/converter route exposure strongly preferred

Proven commissioning or ramp-up experience in a new or expanded shop

Willing to be based in the Odisha plant belt with family
