About the role
We are looking for a senior Program Management / PMO leader to drive governance, planning and execution of the Product Development portfolio for the Commercial Vehicle business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PMO governance for Truck & Bus Product Development programs from planning through launch.
- Develop and maintain Master Project Plans covering milestones, work packages, resources, dependencies, critical paths and launch readiness.
- Drive program governance through structured reviews, stage gates, risk reviews and executive governance forums.
- Provide leadership visibility on project health, risks, dependencies, critical decisions, schedule, cost, quality and launch readiness.
- Drive recovery plans and escalation for critical program risks, delays and technical issues.
- Lead resource and capacity planning across Product Development, including manpower planning and deployment.
- Govern Product Development budgets, Capex, business cases, budget vs. actuals, WBS, cash flow and financial tracking.
- Partner with PCM and cross-functional teams on platform material cost, business case updates and cost governance.
- Drive collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Purchasing and Program teams.
- Establish and strengthen PMO processes, frameworks, governance mechanisms and best practices.
- Monitor APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA and other Product Development deliverables as applicable.
- Drive predictive risk monitoring, productivity improvement and timely resolution of program issues.
- Support annual platform budgeting, quarterly cash-flow planning and post-project compliance.
- Provide strategic program insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Preferred candidate profile:
- 15+ years of experience in Automotive / Commercial Vehicle / Vehicle Product Development / Program Management.
- Strong experience in PMO, Program Management, NPD or Vehicle Development.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional automotive programs from concept through launch.
- Strong understanding of project planning, milestones, stage gates, critical paths, risk management and launch governance.
- Experience in budget, Capex, business case, resource and manpower planning.
- Exposure to APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and PFMEA.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience working with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Purchasing and other CFTs.
- Strong analytical, governance and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office / MS Project or equivalent project management tools.
- B.E./B.Tech is required; M.Tech/MBA will be preferred.
