Executive Leadership Opportunity Head of Advanced Quantitative Methods and AI Integration

A premier global pharmaceutical organization is seeking a visionary senior leader to serve as the Head of Methods and AI Integration. This high impact executive role reports directly to the Head of Data and Quantitative Sciences and sits at the critical juncture of methodological innovation and large scale enterprise deployment.

The successful candidate will move beyond traditional functional management to drive the transition of AI and machine learning pilots into standardized regulator ready capabilities. You will be responsible for building a scalable quantitative decision making backbone that enhances drug development speed and quality across all therapeutic areas.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Data and Quantitative Sciences leadership team to shape global R and D strategy.

Develop and own the strategic roadmap for advanced methods including adaptive trial designs simulations generative AI and causal machine learning.

Translate fragmented technological advances into reusable tools and standardized frameworks suitable for GxP and regulated environments.

Lead the systematic integration of AI into clinical workflows ensuring innovations move from experimental stages to full scale adoption.

Establish rigorous governance for model validation and reproducibility to meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards.

Represent the organization externally by engaging with regulatory bodies academia and industry consortia to define global standards for AI in clinical development.

Direct a multidisciplinary team of experts across AI methods and decision science operating within a sophisticated hub and spoke organizational model.

Professional Qualifications

PhD in Statistics Data Science or a related quantitative discipline with at least 15 years of industry experience or a Masters degree with at least 18 years of equivalent experience.

Extensive leadership background within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors focusing on quantitative sciences and AI applications.

Proven track record of scaling technical innovations across a global matrixed R and D environment.

Deep expertise in selecting and qualifying methodologies that optimize the probability of technical and regulatory success.

Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between complex science technology and business decision making.

Demonstrated experience influencing external regulatory landscapes regarding the acceptance of AI driven approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary range for this position is 259000 to 407000 dollars annually. Final compensation offers are determined by several factors including specific experience education certifications and professional expertise.
