Head of Operations

About This Role

Running the day-to-day operations of Blacksmith Agency is the core responsibility of the Head of Operations. This role is pivotal in managing sales, recruiting, delivery, and marketing while ensuring that the company's goals are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee four department leads, managing their performance, development, and reviews
• Establish and maintain a meeting rhythm and quarterly priorities
• Ensure profit is measured based on attainment rather than activity
• Manage client contracts and vendor terms, making decisions on agreements
• Develop strong operators into effective leaders
• Make timely decisions that currently wait on the founder

Requirements

• Experience managing multiple functions with reporting responsibilities
• Proven track record of scaling a company significantly in size
• Direct experience carrying a profit number, focusing on margin
• Strong negotiation skills in contracts and interpersonal dealings
• Excellent communication skills to convey truths to leaders and the founder
