Head of Nursing

About This Role

Working as a Head of Nursing in a care home involves leading the entire nursing department and managing both staff and operations. The role suits an empathetic and communicative leader with a strong background in nursing and quality management, who is ready to inspire and support their team.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the professional, organizational, and personnel management of the entire nursing department
• Plan and organize the various residential areas
• Identify and foster the individual needs and potential of employees
• Inspire applicants in job interviews with an open and friendly manner
• Ensure sustainable nursing quality and documentation in accordance with MD guidelines, in close cooperation with residents, relatives, the nursing team, and other departments
• Be available to residents and their relatives at all times

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a certified nursing professional, geriatric nurse, and/or health and sickness nurse
• Completed degree in nursing or recognition as a Head of Nursing according to

§71 SGB XI

• Extensive knowledge in quality management
• Welcome with or without professional experience as a Head of Nursing
• Be a team player and possess empathy in dealing with residents and colleagues
• Be communicative and solution-oriented in daily challenges
• Work independently, be motivating, and enjoy laughing
