About This Role

This role is responsible for making IT investment decisions in line with the growth stages of new businesses. The position focuses on ensuring IT uptime translates into on-site results by organizing undefined requirements, trial environments, minimal configurations, and data/permission designs, thereby reducing over-investment, insufficient verification, non-scalable configurations, and delayed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Define the division of responsibilities with new business managers, team members, finance/legal departments, and external partners
  • Present medium-term policies from both business continuity and growth perspectives
  • Use "investment decision lead time" and "compliance rate of expansion/withdrawal conditions" to explain to management and business units, and to determine investment continuation and risk acceptance
  • Select the company's internal capabilities and outsourced areas for undefined requirements, trial environments, minimal configurations, and data/permission designs
  • Quantify and qualify operational risks and escalate them for management decisions
  • Establish common principles and an entry point for exception approvals that new business managers, team members, finance/legal departments, and external partners must adhere to
  • Identify delays in plans and insufficient effects from hypothesis lists, PoC results, minimal configurations, and expansion/withdrawal conditions, then reallocate resources
  • Select, internalize, outsource, or abolish undefined requirements, trial environments, minimal configurations, and data/permission designs, and secure necessary capabilities and budget
  • Determine reporting lines and restart conditions if issues become apparent

Requirements

  • Experience in a leadership, management, or equivalent position responsible for policy decisions in information systems or internal IT domains
  • Experience in budget formulation and execution management for IT, and selection/supervision of external vendors
  • Experience in designing and operating organizational or team goals, roles, and performance indicators
  • Experience in explaining significant risks, investment effects, and outstanding issues to management
  • Ability to commute to the Tokyo office and convey on-site facts to management for decision-making

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge or supervisory experience in new business IT, PoC, or system design from scratch
  • Experience in decision-making using materials equivalent to hypothesis lists, PoC results, minimal configurations, and expansion/withdrawal conditions
  • Experience in reviewing medium-term roadmaps, organizational plans, and vendor portfolios

Valued attitude:

  • Evaluate costs, convenience, information management, and business impact on the same table
  • Explain decision reasons and remaining risks, including the risk of not deciding
  • Provide necessary budget, personnel, and authority to the site, not just responsibility

Benefits

  • Social insurance (health insurance, employee pension insurance, employment insurance, worker's accident compensation insurance)
  • Employee discount
  • Commuting allowance (up to 20,000 yen)

Important Details

  • Schedule: 9:00 to 18:00 (1 hour break, 8 hours actual work) adjustable within company shift rules
  • Contract: permanent, 3-month trial period
  • Average working days: 20 days per month
  • Annual holidays: 120 days or more, shift system based on company calendar
  • Leave: annual paid leave, bereavement leave, special leave
  • Team: internal information systems team that supports IT operations for employees, various businesses, and various locations at the Daikanyama head office

Application Process

  • Document screening
  • Online interview and aptitude test
  • Final interview as needed
  • Offer and joining the company
