Head of IT

About This Role

This role leads the IT function, overseeing infrastructure operations, application development, and automation initiatives. It suits an experienced IT professional with strong technical skills and a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional technical teams and deliver complex projects on time and within budget
• Develop low-code applications using Mendix Studio Pro
• Automate processes using UiPath or other RPA tools
• Develop with Java and Python programming languages
• Develop with web technologies: HTML, CSS, Node.js
• Utilize backend frameworks: Spring, SpringMVC, SpringBoot, MyBatis, SpringJPA, Django, NestJS
• Utilize frontend frameworks: VUE and/or React
• Design and optimize relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) with strong SQL knowledge
• Develop and integrate with REST APIs and OData
• Deploy to servers and manage CI/CD with Tomcat, Jenkins, Docker
• Use Git for version control
• Utilize modern IDEs: IntelliJ IDEA, VSCode, PyCharm
• Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and plan IT finances
• Understand IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Communicate effectively in English with global stakeholders
• Solve problems and make decisions effectively
• Translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders
• Apply strategic thinking with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset

Requirements

• 5 or more years of IT infrastructure operation experience
• Minimum three years of experience in IT management or senior technical leadership roles

Nice to have:

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning applications in industrial settings
• Certification in project management (PMP, Agile, or Scrum)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
