Head of Cybersecurity

We are looking for an accomplished Cybersecurity Leader to lead and transform a large enterprise security organisation.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for strengthening cyber resilience, security operations and enterprise security capabilities, while driving the continued transformation of the organisation's cybersecurity environment.

The role will lead a sizeable cybersecurity organisation and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organsiation.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the organisation's cybersecurity strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Lead and develop a large, multi-disciplinary cybersecurity organisation.
• Provide leadership across Cyber Defence / Security Operations, Incident Response, Enterprise Security and Security Governance.
• Strengthen the organisation's SOC and cyber defence capabilities, including threat detection, threat intelligence, incident response and cyber crisis management.
• Drive continuous improvement across security operations, processes, technology and service delivery.
• Provide senior-level cybersecurity advice and assurance for major technology and transformation initiatives.
• Act as a senior escalation point for significant cybersecurity incidents and security risks.
• Strengthen cyber governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
• Drive the adoption of automation, AI and modern security technologies to improve cyber defence capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Partner with senior Technology, Risk, Audit and business stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's overall security posture.
• Build and develop strong cybersecurity leadership and specialist technical capabilities across the organisation.

Requirements:

• Significant leadership experience across Cybersecurity, Cyber Defence, Security Operations, Enterprise Security or related technology security functions.
• Proven experience leading sizeable cybersecurity teams or complex security programmes.
• Strong understanding of Security Operations / SOC, Incident Response, Cyber Resilience and Enterprise Security.
• Experience driving cybersecurity transformation and improving security operating models.
• Good understanding of cyber governance, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with modern cybersecurity capabilities including cloud security, security automation, AI-enabled security operations and/or modern SOC technologies would be advantageous.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and engage senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience managing major cyber incidents and operating effectively in complex, high-pressure environments.
• Exposure to managed security services or customer-facing security delivery would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of building and developing high-performing cybersecurity teams.

Candidates do not need to have experience across every cybersecurity domain. We are particularly interested in leaders who have built or transformed large-scale cybersecurity capabilities and can bring together strategy, technology, operations and people leadership.
