Head of Computer Vision

About This Role

Leading a team of Computer Vision specialists is the core of this role, developing key methodologies and tools for improved decision-making in applications like manufacturing and field service. You will partner with business stakeholders to implement new solutions, identify new opportunities with the innovation team, and drive collaboration across industry and academia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global team of Computer Vision professionals, enabling business areas and functions to develop, apply, and implement tailored solutions
• Develop foundational enterprise capabilities in computer vision, working closely with internal R&D teams and external partner networks
• Collaborate with digital and data analytics teams across Siemens Energy, supporting computer vision solution development and implementation
• Support internal competence build-up in computer vision through technical training programs, know-how sharing, and regular stakeholder communication

Requirements

• Advanced degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field with a profound understanding of machine learning and computer vision technologies
• At least 10 years of experience in digital innovation, ideally combined with leadership experience in an industry environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and translate business needs into technical specifications and innovation proposals
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, open-mindedness and willingness to learn, ability to navigate easily in a multidisciplinary, multinational, global environment including external partners
• Experience working across global organizations and teams through strong collaboration, communication, relationship building and influencing skills
