Head of Accounting

About This Role

This role involves managing the company's financial operations, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and risk management. The core purpose is to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational and capital investment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Forecast cash flow positions and capital structure
• Manage the preparation of the company's annual budget for review and approval
• Analyze the company's financial status and provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve expense management
• Manage the capital budgeting process based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
• Ensure accurate recording of expenditure in appropriate journals and ledgers
• Review and approve payroll budget and distribution
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate and recommend processes for improvement
• Audit different department expenses and processes involving flow of money, advances, and returns
• Implement health and safety measures, ensure compliance to government agencies and create business continuity plans

Requirements

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years relevant work experience
• Proficient in using store operations software
• Above average oral and written communication skills
• Results-oriented, analytical with good problem-solving skills
• Thinks logically and keen on details
• Team-player with good interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

• CPA license is an advantage
