Head of Accounting

About This Role

This leadership position involves guiding and developing a finance team within a successful international company. The role suits an experienced manager who wants to contribute to the company's economic steering by developing modern control instruments, and who thrives in a supportive work environment with short decision-making paths and diverse opportunities for development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the finance team (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting)
• Take responsibility for annual financial statements in accordance with HGB for several companies
• Manage liquidity planning, forecasts, budgeting, and management reporting
• Participate in group-wide projects
• Act as contact person for auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
• Further develop accounting and controlling processes

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in economics, business administration, or a comparable field, ideally with further training as an accountant
• Professional experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare sector
• Several years of leadership experience
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements according to HGB
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Analytical thinking combined with a structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Team player with strong communication skills
