About This Role
Leading the accounting team and overseeing financial reporting is the core of this role, which involves managing all operational financial accounting and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The position suits a finance professional with leadership experience who is eager to optimize financial processes and systems in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for operational financial accounting and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership and further develop an accounting team
- Analyze, standardize, and continuously optimize all financial processes with the goal of establishing efficient, scalable, and future-proof structures
- Further develop the finance system landscape, especially ERP systems, and identify and implement automation and digitalization potential
- Introduce and further develop an efficient fast-close process to accelerate closing cycles
- Collaborate closely with Controlling and Group Finance to ensure meaningful reporting and a reliable financial data basis
- Act as a sparring partner for management, auditors, tax advisors, and other internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Successfully completed business administration degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Auditing, or a comparable commercial education with relevant further training
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting with proven responsibility for the preparation and closing of complex financial statements
- Initial or several years of leadership experience and enjoyment in developing and promoting employees
- Strong understanding of process management, business excellence, and the continuous improvement of organizational structures
- Very good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics or comparable solutions
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI and an ERP system
- Business fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
