About the role
Healthy Communities Coalition's (HCC) RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program is an innovative program that places RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across the state of Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes through strengthening connections, improving resiliency, soft skills development and referrals to resources. As part of this journey, RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members are trained as mental health Community Health Workers and will earn certificates of training in skills that will apply towards career development in mental health related fields.
Member Duties : Healthy Communities Coalition's (HCC) RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program is an innovative program that places RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across the state of Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes through strengthening connections, improving resiliency, soft skills development and referrals to resources. HCC RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members will also join AmeriCorps in participating in one National Day of Service
