ob Summary
We are looking for a skilled, versatile, and proactive Handyman to carry out day-to-day repair, maintenance, and upkeep across our facilities. In this role, you will handle general civil work, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, HVAC troubleshooting, and minor carpentry or painting repairs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who works efficiently, maintains high safety standards, and ensures site facilities remain in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs & Civil Work: Execute general facility repairs including dry-walling, door/lock fixes, ceiling tile replacements, furniture assembly, and basic masonry work.
- Basic Plumbing Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and unclog pipes, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and drainage systems; replace worn-out fixtures and fittings.
- Basic Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and replace faulty switches, sockets, light fixtures, ballasts, and minor wiring issues safely.
- Carpentry & Painting: Perform touch-up painting, wall patching, door adjustments, cabinet repairs, and silicon sealing around sanitary or glass fixtures.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine visual checks across the property to identify electrical, plumbing, or structural issues before they become major problems.
- Tools & Inventory Management: Maintain and safely operate all hand and power tools; keep track of maintenance consumables and report stock needs to management.
- Emergency Work Orders: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls, leakages, or structural damage, resolving issues with minimal disruption to occupants.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or MEP Helper in commercial, residential, or facility settings in the UAE.
- Technical Skills: Multi-skilled across basic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), civil repair, carpentry, painting, and lock repair.
- Education: High School Diploma or Vocational Training / ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry.
- Languages: Good working knowledge of English (Hindi/Urdu communication skills are a plus).
- Physical Fitness: Capable of heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, working on ladders, and working in outdoor environments.
- Driving License: UAE Manual Driving License is an advantage (optional depending on mobile role needs).
