About This Role
This handyman role involves maintaining facilities and ensuring smooth operations. The position suits a proactive and versatile individual responsible for a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks to create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and drywall repairs to maintain facility integrity
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify issues early and address them promptly
- Install or upgrade fixtures, appliances, locks, shelving, and other hardware as needed
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from staff or management to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by ensuring work areas are organized and hazards are addressed
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman roles with a broad skill set across multiple trades
- Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively and execute repairs independently
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic appliance repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment

- Certification in relevant trades (e.g., electrician license or plumbing certification)
