Gym Manager

About This Role

Managing the daily operations of a gym facility is the core of this role, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both members and staff. The Gym Manager will oversee staff, develop policies, maintain equipment, and implement marketing strategies. This position suits a candidate with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise gym staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Develop and implement gym policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of gym equipment and facilities
• Create and implement marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
• Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, inventory management, and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to members and address any concerns or issues promptly
• Monitor and analyze gym performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with fitness trainers and instructors to develop and promote fitness programs
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the gym's offerings and services

Requirements

• Previous experience in gym management or a related field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of fitness equipment and industry trends
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
• CPR and First Aid certification
