Responsibilities & Requirements
The General X-ray Machine Operator (GXMO) performs diagnostic radiographic procedures on designated anatomical areas under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, supporting timely and accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to radiation protection standards and regulatory requirements, while maintaining accurate documentation and equipment readiness. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Completion of an accredited General X-ray Machine Operator (GXMO) educational program, including didactic and clinical components specific to authorized anatomical areas.No prior experience required; clinical training as part of GXMO program is sufficient.Current General X-ray Machine Operator (GXMO) license issued by the Ohio Department of Health, maintained in good standing. Completion of required continuing education credits in radiation safety as mandated by state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience performing radiographic procedures in a healthcare setting is preferred.
