Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Guest Service Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in creating a welcoming environment for our guests. This position requires a strong commitment to high standards of customer service, as well as the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. As a Guest Service Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable stay.
Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel with courtesy and accuracy, ensuring a positive impression.
- Handle both credit card and cash transactions.
- Provide assistance to guests, fostering a welcoming and helpful environment.
- Respond to all guest requests, ensuring they are satisfied with the resolution.
- Resolve escalated customer relations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to in order to maintain team member and guest safety.
- Answer incoming and internal phone calls and helping the guest or directing where needed.
- Make guest room reservations for future stays.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby, including refreshing the coffee station and wiping down tables.
- Assist Sales department with making reservations/entering rooming lists.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain high hospitality standards.
- Assist in folding towels and pillowcases during slower periods.
- Assist with special projects or events as needed.
- Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel environments is required, Hilton experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Great communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
