Group Fitness Instructor

About This Role

Leading high-quality, engaging, and safe fitness programs for participants of all ages and abilities is the core of this role. The position is for certified and experienced indoor cycling and suspension training (TRX) instructors to lead morning and/or evening classes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging, and safe programs that meet the needs of participants across a range of ages and abilities

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant certifications in accordance with industry standards (e.g. BCRPA, CanFit-Pro, ACE, NASM etc.) OR a current membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g. BCAK, CATA, NSCA et.)
• Emergency First Aid and CPR-C
• Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector
• At least 5 years of continuous experience in a similar position
• Exceptional leadership abilities
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Solid knowledge of fitness and strength equipment
• Physical abilities to lift and carry equipment up to 45lbs
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Eligible to work in Canada (Permanent Resident; Canadian Citizenship)

Nice to have:

• Experience in customer service, recreation, human/social services or in a leadership role
