Group Fitness Instructor

About This Role

Being a Group Fitness Instructor involves leading Pilates classes and guiding members through effective and safe workouts. This role is ideal for a passionate fitness professional looking to develop a strong foundation in Pilates principles and gain real-world teaching experience in a supportive studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend 6 in-studio training days (additional days may be required)
• Attend 1 in-studio test out
• Participate in virtual education and mentorship sessions
• Complete 5–10 hours of observation
• Complete 5–10 hours of self-practice
• Complete 10+ hours of practice teaching
• Pass a written exam (score of 85% or higher) covering cueing & flow structure, injury awareness & contraindications, and core Pilates teaching principles
• Teach a portion of a group Reformer Pilates class demonstrating effective pacing and transitions, use of PEACE RR cueing methodology, proper safety modifications and professionalism, and confident and engaging class delivery
• Be available to regularly teach at least 8 in-studio classes per week at a Riser Fitness owned Club Pilates location
• Attend a Riser Fitness hosted Club Pilates Teacher Training Program (full scholarship will be granted)

Requirements

• Current certification in a fitness, wellness, or health discipline (e.g., personal training, yoga, group fitness, dance, physical therapy, etc.)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching group fitness classes
• Understanding of movement mechanics, anatomy, and verbal cueing techniques
• Commitment to completing a full Mat and Reformer Pilates certification through an approved program
