Group Fitness Instructor

About This Role

The Group Fitness Instructor leads F45's team-based functional training sessions, motivating members and creating an energetic, challenging, and fun experience. This role suits a knowledgeable and people-loving coach who can own the room and help members get stronger and more confident.

Responsibilities

• Coach, motivate, and connect with members throughout every class
• Demonstrate movements confidently and with excellent form
• Provide smart regressions, progressions, and modifications
• Correct technique and help members move safely and effectively
• Understand the why behind the workout, not just what's on the screen
• Create energy without sacrificing quality coaching
• Get to know members, celebrate their wins, and help them reach their goals
• Help welcome trial members and make them feel like part of the community
• Support membership retention and the overall member experience
• Help with equipment setup, breakdown, and keeping the studio looking great
• Help clean the studio as part of the team

Requirements

• Group fitness and/or personal training experience
• Understand functional movement, strength training, HIIT, and heart-rate-based training
• Confidently coach a room full of different fitness levels
• Know how to modify movements instead of giving everyone the exact same option
• Bring real energy and personality
• Be dependable, coachable, and comfortable receiving feedback
• Communicate well and genuinely enjoy working with people
• Have fun while still being professional
• Want to keep learning and becoming a better coach
• Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA or equivalent) OR a degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• Group training experience strongly preferred
• Ability to demonstrate exercises safely and confidently
• Ability to remain active and on your feet throughout classes
• Be reliable, punctual, and ready to bring the energy
• Be someone members are excited to see on the schedule
