About This Role
Maintaining the grounds and performing general facility upkeep are the core responsibilities of this position. The role involves landscaping, operating various equipment, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain site landscaping, including lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation systems
- Operate commercial mowers, landscaping machinery, pull-behind trailers, power tools, weed trimmers and various shop equipment safely and effectively
- Use appropriate precision tools and measuring instruments for assigned tasks
- Perform general facility maintenance, which may include painting, drywall repairs, and basic flooring installation
- Follow written and verbal instructions, take accurate measurements, and prepare material or supply lists as needed
- Perform required equipment maintenance that includes checking oil/wheel levels, and sharpening blades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Wear required safety equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, long pants, steel toed shoes, high visibility vest)
Requirements
- Ability to operate a commercial lawn mower
- Ability to obtain a company-issued lift truck certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to work independently and as a team to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to withstand exposure to changes in both temperature and humidity
- Awareness of hazards and the equipment operated, and ability to take proper safety precautions
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to consent to a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam (if applicable to job duties)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that can change based on seasonal conditions, including varying shift start and end times, periodic overtime, and availability during inclement weather to assist with applying salt brine and snow removal

Important Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm (can change based on weather); 8-hour non-rotating shift, shift starts AM
