Groundskeeper

About This Role

This Groundskeeper position involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of properties, performing minor maintenance tasks, and assisting the building maintenance team. The role suits an individual who values organizational excellence and providing quality housing opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Report all maintenance repairs needed to supervisor
• Sweep and clean parking lot on daily basis
• Water flower planters daily (seasonally where applicable)
• Pick up trash from grounds daily
• Use hose to clean front entry walks on a regularly scheduled basis
• Change all light bulbs in hallways and common areas as needed
• Complete minor work orders for residents and/or management as assigned by supervisor
• Assist other members of the Building Maintenance team, which may include moving and installation of furniture and equipment, and removing snow from sidewalks
• Maintain courteous and helpful attitude with residents
• Attend training as required
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance
• Maintain courteous and helpful attitude with coworkers and residents
• May need to transport self between locations on a daily basis

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent OR proven ability to read labels, instructions, etc.
• 1 year of general work experience, strongly prefer prior record of reliability and regular attendance
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment
• Ability to be well organized and flexible
• Some ability related to facility maintenance, changing bulbs, sweeping
• May need to transport self between properties
