Grants Manager

About This Role

The Grants Manager assists the TSET Director of Grants Management with all components of the grant making process, including development, processing, implementation, and monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance and progress toward objectives. This role involves facilitating quality service delivery to grantees through sound grants management planning, budgeting, monitoring, closeout, and evaluation. The Grants Manager also cultivates and sustains positive relationships with all grantees and partners.

Responsibilities

• Work with the TSET Director of Grants Management and Senior Grants Manager to implement and maintain a grants management database that follows agency work processes while balancing the needs of program and accounting staff and regulatory compliance; ensure integrity of data
• Assist in monitoring agency grants management operations to ensure overall quality service delivery and timeliness of all aspects of grants administration across grant categories
• Stay abreast of all rules, including caps, allowable and prohibited expenses as related to TSET grant budgets and work in concert with TSET Program Managers to ensure adherence to those rules
• Assist with working with other state, federal, and local public and private organizations to identify qualified professionals to serve on external expert review committees and provide staff support to facilitate the external review of proposals, as appropriate
• Complete technical reviews for grant applications in concert with the Senior Grants Manager
• Work to prepare materials for Board and committee meetings
• Support the TSET Director of Grants Management and Senior Grants Manager in the facilitation of the grant contract awards process, including the delivery of contracts via the grants database and monitoring the required return and full execution of grant contracts
• Facilitate grant award payments by requesting additional information necessary to approve payments
• Monitor grantee spending and adherence to terms of the contract to ensure proper and efficient use of TSET funds
• Serve as an internal department point of contact for the grantee funding portal
• Recommend and participate in site visits or financial reviews of grantees as necessary
• Assist in the revision, creation, and implementation of guidance to assist grantees in managing their TSET-funded obligations effectively
• Use the grants database to facilitate accurate and timely grant processing
