Grants Management Specialist

About This Role

This role involves the coordination and implementation of hazard mitigation programs by analyzing policies, procedures, and guidance. The specialist will manage federal awards and contribute to the internal controls and administrative policies of the Agency.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and accomplish a full range of complex assignments related to FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Assistance Program
• Administer and manage Federal awards
• Review and recommend updates to Agency grant management internal controls and administrative policies
• Conduct risk assessments of grant receipts and prepare fiscal year monitoring schedules
• Conduct final review of completed awards and process close-outs

Requirements

• Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service
• Qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement
• Provide the exact dates of each period of employment (from MM/YY to MM/YY) and the number of hours worked per week if part time
• For current or former FEMA Reservists/DAE employees, list the dates (from MM/YY to MM/YY) of each deployment, along with the job title and specific duties responsible for during each deployment
