Grant Writer

About This Role

Identifying, writing, managing, and reporting on grants is the core of this Grant Writer position. The role may also involve participating in or leading other projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and write grants to secure funding for organizational projects
• Gather letters of support and other documents needed for grant applications
• Coordinate with teams after a grant is awarded to ensure successful implementation
• Complete required grant reporting
• Acquire and analyze data, including self-service data pulling
• Provide internal data to staff working on programs
• Track grant deadlines and due dates to ensure timely submission of applications and reports
• Deliver and/or make presentations on project and program progress and results
• Assist with or lead other non-grant related projects, depending on grant workload and organizational needs

Requirements

• Bachelor
• Bachelor
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills including knowledge of functions, creating tables, and ability to problem solve with complex data sets
• Works cooperatively with other staff members
• Displays sensitivity in a multi-cultural environment

Nice to have:

• Degree in healthcare, management, or similar field
• Certifications such as CPHQ and Lean Six Sigma
• At least one year working in healthcare or working on grants

• Schedule: Monday through Friday during standard business hours; times are subject to change due to business necessity
