Identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and securing grants from various organizations are the core responsibilities of this role. The position suits an experienced and results-driven individual with a proven track record in successful grant applications and fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other funding sources
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
- Develop persuasive narratives that clearly communicate the clinic's mission, programs, impact, and funding needs
- Maintain a grant calendar and ensure timely submission of all applications and reports
- Collaborate with leadership and program staff to gather data, budgets, and supporting documentation
- Track grant outcomes, reporting requirements, and compliance deadlines
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and philanthropic organizations
- Assist with fundraising strategies and donor engagement initiatives
- Monitor and report on grant performance and funding opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer, Fundraising Specialist, or Development Professional
- Demonstrated success in securing grants for nonprofit organizations
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising and grant management
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience with healthcare, community health, or social service organizations is preferred
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Experience securing foundation, corporate, and government grants
- Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and reporting requirements
