About This Role
This role involves securing funding for programs that empower youth and foster talent. The Grant Writer Specialist will research and write compelling grant proposals, collaborating with program staff and managing deadlines to support the organization's mission.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Write compelling grant proposals and narratives that effectively communicate the mission, programs, and funding needs
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data and information necessary for grant applications
- Develop and maintain a calendar of grant submission deadlines and reporting requirements
- Track and report on grant outcomes and assist in preparing progress reports for funders
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
