You will work with vast amounts of data, utilizing advanced analytical tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and streamline logistics operations. Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain supply chain performance metrics and dashboards
- Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to optimize stock levels
- Support the procurement and logistics teams in operational planning and execution
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations
- Research and implement best practices in supply chain management and logistics
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvement projects
- Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance and recommendations
- Utilize supply chain management software and tools to enhance visibility and control
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as inventory management, warehousing, and transportation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- A proactive attitude and a keen interest in optimizing complex systems
- Willingness to work part of the week from the Mossel Bay office
