About the role
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs various patient care duties in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Description:

Participates in the nursing process during delivery of patient care under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Assists in providing nursing care to patients and collects data for assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Participates in implementing a formal plan of care for the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (Information Systems).

Participates in unit staff meetings and attends mandatory programs.

Adheres to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures.

Assesses personal learning development needs. Maintains documentation of current and ongoing professional development activities. Regularly updates knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served. Shows a willingness to participate on Nursing Committees.
- Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice.

Represents hospital in the community and within the hospital by maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters and by presenting the hospital in a manner that will best market the services provided.

Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.

Performs other work related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:

Ability to read, write and communicate in English
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or following completion of all clinical rotation hours in a nursing program.

Current Basic Life Support Certification

NCLEX date to be scheduled within 1 month of hire

Obtain your RN license within 3 months of hire

Successful passage of CPI training within 3 months of hire and must maintain recertification biannually.
Schedule Details: 36 Hours Per Week, Rotating Days, 7a-7:30p, Every Other Weekend and Rotating Holidays. Will float between ICU & CVICU
