About the role
Salary & Benefits
- $3,000 – $7,000/month (based on experience and qualifications)
- $350/month fixed allowance
- Average bonus: 3 – 3.5 months (AWS + Variable Bonus)
- 14 – 18 days annual leave
- 1-year direct contract with NEA, renewable and convertible
- Company shuttle bus provided
- 12-hour rotating shift
- 44 hours/week, including weekends and public holidays
- 5 rest days within each 15-day shift cycle
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, testing and commissioning of major mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems for waste management facilities.
- Work with consultants, contractors and government stakeholders to ensure facilities meet design, quality and statutory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.
- Implement preventive maintenance, overhaul programmes and equipment testing for electrical and control systems.
- Manage contractors, maintenance activities and technical contracts while ensuring compliance with safety and permit-to-work requirements.
- Support continuous improvement, safety initiatives and operational excellence projects.
Requirements
- Minimum Nitec in Engineering or related discipline.
- Diploma holders: preferably 3 years of relevant experience.
- Nitec holders: preferably 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Professional certifications such as Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate or WSH Officer are advantageous.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Navisworks or Primavera P6 is an advantage.
- Mature, independent, resourceful and a strong team player.
- Comfortable working in waste-to-energy facilities and rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
