Government & Ecosystem Manager

About This Role

This role involves building and nurturing partnerships with government bodies and other organizations to advance computer science education and problem-solving skills for students. The manager will lead policy dialogue and support capacity building within the organization to effectively collaborate with government initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build alliances, establish and nurture partnerships and networks to position the Computer Science Education ecosystem and build future skills within broader development frameworks
• Build and foster networks and scan the government ecosystem on a sustained basis to identify relevant opportunities to position Pi Jam value-added propositions to advance the agenda of future readiness and building problem-solving skills
• Lead evidence-based policy dialogue with relevant Government departments (such as Education, Women & Child Development, Youth Affairs, Tribal Welfare, Minority Welfare, Skilling etc) at the state and national levels to co-create system-led, large-scale solutions that contribute to successful implementation of Government policies and programmes and are aligned to Pi Jam priorities
• Support the documentation of lessons learned and best practices related to the work on empowering youth with future skills
• Identify and participate in communities of practice related to adolescents and youth and share new approaches with Government counterparts and other stakeholders
• Advise the leadership on the capacities and skills needed within the organization for successful partnership with the Government
• Carry out any other duties as may be required by Pi Jam Foundation

Requirements

• 4-5 years of overall work experience, primarily experience of working with government and delivering impact on programmes and projects with government including collaboration with Education, Youth affairs, Skilling, and other relevant sectors of government
• Experience of direct work with relevant ministries, state governments, institutions, school systems, SCERTs and multilateral organizations is required
